When most people plan to have their wedding during the winter months, they plan to have it indoors. Unless you happen to live in one of the few places that have amazing weather all year round, indoor weddings are the only viable option in the winter months for the majority of couples. As such, activities and items that are traditionally used outdoors are often overlooked, the chef one being wedding sparklers. Even though most people think that sparklers are only for outdoor use, they actually make a version that is safe to use indoors.
In order to use sparklers indoors, they need to be smokeless. Regular sparklers create a lot of smoke and will quickly fill your enclosed room with a haze making them unsuitable for indoor use during the winter. However, you can get smokeless sparklers and still have a ton of fun at your wedding. Here are a few ways to use sparklers at your winter wedding to warm up your event.
Centerpieces
Most people think of flowers when they think of wedding centerpieces, but there are actually a lot of great centerpieces that don’t involve flowers out there for couples looking to be more creative. One idea is to create interactive bouquets using items like sparklers and lollipops for your centerpieces. This will give your guests something fun to use in the wedding sparklers and something tasty to snack on in the lollipops, plus your centerpiece will be both cooler and less expensive than ones made suing expensive wedding flowers.
Grand Entrance
Using sparklers for your grand exit is probably the most popular way to use them, but usually the exit takes place outside in front of your venue. Since it’s likely a cold winter’s day outside, it’s a little bit difficult to setup a grand exit under those circumstances. Instead, you can do the exact opposite which is to use sparklers for your grand entrance. When the new couple is announced for the first time at the reception, you can have all of the guests light their sparklers as they make their way to the head table. AS long as you use smokeless wedding sparklers, it should be a beautiful experience for everyone.
Bride’s Entrance
For those adventurous enough to use sparklers during their ceremony, the best way to do it is when the bride makes her entrance. Just have everyone light their sparklers when they are asked to stand for the bride to create a sparkling pathway for her to follow towards the altar. Make sure you use 36 inch wedding sparklers for this purpose because they are much brighter than the smaller ones. This will allow you to lower the lights in the ceremony hall so you can get the best effect from your wedding sparklers while still providing enough light for the bride to see where she is going. You can optionally use this same method for the recessional, but I find its better during the entrance since the bride can take her time.
Even if it’s ice cold outside, you can still use sparklers to warm up your wedding. By purchasing smokeless wedding sparklers and coming up with a fun way to use them inside, you can still make your winter wedding the sparkling masterpiece that you’ve always dreamed it would be.
