Samsung has just ringed the bell of the smartphone market with the Samsung Galaxy S6 release but still there were few features that were absent and actually people are yelling about it. And now Samsung has to overcome it else, it could be a failure as happened in the case of Samsung Galaxy S5. Or Samsung has another solution in form of Samsung Galaxy S7 but it would take time, almost a year from now.
The beautiful designed Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with two glass plates one on the front and one on the back, most likely, is System on chipset Exynos 7420 is the heart (Samsung is not disclosed the specific model). This is an important point. Firstly, Samsung Galaxy S6 will be the first smartphone of Samsung, uses its own Exynos chip in all regions. This suggests that the SoC is ready to compete on a global scale. Secondly, 7420 is the first SoC with 14 nm process technology more advanced process technology should provide Exynos 7420 and Samsung Galaxy S6 advantage of energy efficiency before Snapdragon 810, which is manufactured using a process HKMG TSMC 20 nm. And now Samsung is going on even better scale yes, 10 nm scale system on chipset could be present in the Samsung Galaxy S7.
As Snapdragon 810, Exynos 7420 uses four core ARM Cortex-A57 and four core CPU Cortex-A53 in a heterogeneous configuration big.LITTLE, in which the operating system scheduler tasks are available all eight cores. In theory, Samsung Galaxy S6 should overtake other flagship smartphones in the current generation CPU-task, as the clock frequency of the nuclei A57 is 2.1 GHz, and the A53 – 1.5 GHz. However, the accuracy of this statement depends on several factors. Will the 7420 supports a maximum clock frequency and optimized without throttling if it for the long battery life or performance of the processor? How to effectively Samsung Galaxy S6 uses eight cores? Well, actually Samsung has achieved in the Galaxy S6 and now in the turn of Samsung Galaxy S7, if Samsung goes on lower scale of manufacturing then the phone would be more efficient not only in term of performance but also the power efficiency.
If Samsung Galaxy S6 is equipped SoC Exynos 7420, then on a single chip with the CPU is located GPU ARM Mali-T760. Despite a decent level of performance, T760 does not reach the Adreno 430 Snapdragon 810. SoC Exynos in the smartphone Samsung Galaxy S6 is paired with a high-speed RAM LPDDR4, characteristic of the flagship models of Sony Z3 and LG G Flex 2. Given its novelty and correspondingly higher price, it is unlikely we will see products equipped with 4 GB LPDDR4 until the end of 2015 or the beginning of 2016. Yes, here 4GB smartphone refer to the Samsung Galaxy S7.
